Walkthrough & Notes
During objectives 5 and 6, the fire circles (Gothmog's Dark Sorcery) appear in an alternating pattern and apply damage (44k Shadow damage) when they appear. So keep moving to a region which had fire as soon as the fire there disappears. It is best to activate the memories immediately after fire in that square disappears so that you are not caught when fire appears again.

Bestowal dialogue Gothmog's Rage "If you do not follow my commands it will be your death, prisoner! Now move!" Background Inside Barad Cúron, the Tower of the Crescent Moon, the villain Gothmog awaits. Objective 1 Talk to Ayorzén outside Barad Cúron Culang must survive Ayorzén has disguised himself as Karazgar, the Weeping Warrior, and plans to bring you inside Barad Cúron as his prisoner. Objective 2 Go with the disguised Ayorzén to Barad Cúron, pretending to be his prisoner Culang must survive Ayorzén has disguised himself as Karazgar, the Weeping Warrior, and now he attempts to bring you and the Ranger Culang into Barad Cúron as his prisoners. Ayorzén says, "Move it, worms!" Culang says, "We're going, we're going." Ayorzén says, "I have brought these prisoners for Gothmog's entertainment." Watchful Presence says, "Who do you say you are?" Ayorzén says, "You do not know Karazgar the Mighty?" Ayorzén says, "I am the terror of East and North!" Watchful Presence says, "None but Gúrzyul may pass." Ayorzén says, "If you bar the way of Karazgar, you will not escape punishment!" Watchful Presence says, "I do not know this Ranger, but <name> has long been Gothmog's foe." Watchful Presence says, "He awaits you. You and your prisoners may pass... Karazgar." Objective 3 Enter Barad Cúron and confront Gothmog Culang must survive The watchful presence that guards the entrance to Barad Cúron has given you leave to enter the tower. Ayorzén says, "Move it, slime!" Mordirith says, "Step into the light, my guests. I would see you more clearly." Mordirith says, "Ah... I did not expect you to be so bold." Mordirith says, "Are you so eager to die?" Ayorzén says, "I am not!" Ayorzén says, "I will leave you to your fun, Gothmog!" Mordirith says, "Does anyone else desire to flee?" Gothmog is no more!" Objective 5 Survive the further assaults of Gothmog Culang must survive Gothmog has not yet exhausted his powers. With his illusions defeated he redoubles his attack! Mocking laughter echoes around the throne room Gothmog says, "This has been a most entertaining diversion... but now it ends." Culang says, "We must weaken him somehow!" Culang says, "We must draw upon his past defeats! Remind him of his losses!" Objective 6 Draw upon the memory of Narmeleth for inspiration Draw upon the memory of Golodir for inspiration Draw upon the memory of Isildur for inspiration Draw upon the memory of Anárion for inspiration Draw upon the memory of Elendil for inspiration Culang must survive Culang believes you should use Gothmog's own weapons against him, reminding the wraith of those heroes who stood against darkness despite the evils arrayed against them. It is Culang's hope that the light of their inspiration will serve to weaken the wraith, sapping him of his strength. Memory of Narmeleth says, "I am Amarthiel no longer! I am Narmeleth, as my father named me!" Memory of Isildur says, "The works of Sauron cannot last forever! Always we will oppose them!" Memory of Elendil says, "Sauron shall atone for the evil he has done to our people!" Memory of Anárion says, "Only together can we defeat the will of Sauron!" Memory of Golodir says, "I am satisfied! Let my death see Mordirith defeated!" Culang says, "It is working!" Objective 7 Defeat Gothmog Both weakened and enraged by your defiance, Gothmog presses the attack! Gothmog says, "No! Noooooo!" Gothmog says, "Now you will die!" Gothmog says, "Your words are empty!" Gothmog says, "Your bones will break!" Gothmog says, "I will destroy you!" Gothmog says, "Death awaits you!"
