Bestowal Dialogue

"See... hear... know..."

Background

You have paid the price he demanded. Will Zaghárog consent to share knowledge of the Gúrzyul?

Objective 1

  • Examine the Black Númenórean shown to you by Zaghárog

Hazy images swirl before your eyes of the delving of the Caverns of Fire, long ago.

Urudanî Stonemaiden: She is a woman of Númenór, possessed of a cold beauty. The images that float before your eyes are hazy and indistinct, but even so her beauty is tainted by the cruel expression she wears and the malice in her eyes.
'Urudanî,' whispers Zaghárog. 'Gúrzyul.'

Objective 2

  • Witness the images shown to you by Zaghárog

Zaghárog presents you with images from the delving of a fortress in the depths of the Caverns of Fire, long ago.

Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "I grow impatient with these constant delays, worm."
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "How many more of your kind must I slay to motivate you creatures?"
Servant of the Stonemaiden says, "None, Mistress Stonemaiden! We work as hard as we can!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "Lord Sauron has granted me this boon: a fortress of my own in a place of my choosing."
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "I have chosen these Caverns of Fire to house my citadel!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "The tremors are nothing compared to my displeasure!"
Servant of the Stonemaiden says, "The Mountain erupts again!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "Do they fear the shaking of the Mountain, or do they fear Urudanî Stonemaiden?"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "I will remind them not to cross one of Lord Sauron's Gúrzyul!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "Lazy maggots! Wretched slothful worms!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "Why have you stopped? I want my citadel constructed!"
Servant of the Stonemaiden says, "A horror! A horror comes!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "What is this?"

Objective 3

  • Examine the creature shown to you by Zaghárog

Hazy images swirl before your eyes of the delving of the Caverns of Fire, long ago.

Borangos the Horror: In appearance the creature seems similar to the Regmyl you have encountered, but its terrible majesty is an order of magnitude greater than those others. Even in the hazy dreamscape conjured by Zaghárog, this Great Rogmul is a terrifying presence.
'Borangos,' Zaghárog whispers in your mind. 'Borangos the Horror.'

Objective 4

  • Witness the images shown to you by Zaghárog

Zaghárog presents you with images from the delving of a fortress in the depths of the Caverns of Fire, long ago.

Borangos the Horror says, "I shall take this place for my own."
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "No! You will die for your intrusion, interloper!"
Urudanî Stonemaiden says, "Aaaaaaaaaah!"
Borangos the Horror says, "You will serve me now."
Servant of the Stonemaiden says, "The Mistress is dead! Follow me, boys!"
'Urudanî... no more...'
'Sauron wonders why... and sends his Nazgûl...'

Objective 5

  • Examine the Ghâsh-hai shown to you by Zaghárog

The Orc you see now is different than those that served Urudanî, but you have seen his kind before: he is one of the Ghâsh-hai.

Lord of the Nazgûl says, "Upon whose authority was this fortress completed?"
Servant of the Flame: The Orc that appears before you now is different than those that served Urudanî, but you have seen his kind before: he is one of the Ghâsh-hai. What has Borangos done to the Orcs of this place?

Objective 6

  • Witness the images shown to you by Zaghárog

Zaghárog presents you with images from the delving of a fortress in the depths of the Caverns of Fire, long ago.

Servant of the Flame says, "My master is the lord of this keep. Come."
Lord of the Nazgûl says, "Who claims now to rule Urudanî's fortress?"
Borangos the Horror says, "Who comes to my domain?"
Lord of the Nazgûl says, "This is the domain of Sauron. None rule here without His leave."
Lord of the Nazgûl says, "Where is the Gúrzyul? Where is Urudanî?"
Borangos the Horror says, "Tell me of this Sauron."
Lord of the Nazgûl says, "He is our lord, giver of gifts and ruler of all."
Lord of the Nazgûl says, "He rewards those who swear fealty to Him."
Lord of the Nazgûl says, "You cannot take this fortress, but it might be given."
Borangos the Horror says, "I would speak with your lord."
'Sauron gained... a new servant...'
'... to replace the one he lost...'

Objective 7

  • Examine the image shown to you by Zaghárog

Zaghárog persists in showing you images of the past.

You feel a presence behind you
Burning Apparition: The woman is composed entirely of fire, a being of burning flames. She stares past you, sightlessly, and you hear the voice of Zaghárog in your mind.
'But the Stonemaiden returned... changed...'
The images become faint; Zaghárog will soon release his hold on you, and you must be content with what he has shown to you.
