Quest Text

Background

One of Saruman's perilous war machines, capable of spewing forth waves of fire, has been moved to the centre gate of Helm's Dike. If the device continues with its foul diffusion, the gate will surely bend beneath the immense heat and the first defence against the approaching army will be breached. Protect the archers upon the dike and supply their buckets with arrows so that they may defeat the foul construct.

Objective

  • Defeat the war machine
  • Do not let the gate be destroyed

The gate along the road must not fall to the flames of Saruman's twisted machine. The gates must be defended until the deadly construct can be disabled and destroyed.

This quest starts with Full Merit Rating.
