Walkthrough & Notes

The quest leading to this one is The Perilous Path which starts with Agátur in Skarháld at the end of The Tale of Borin questline. The Slain Bear is immediately past the slain Zhélruka [36.8N, 43.8W] - the corpse is guarded by two Flame-drake Hatchlings and is adjacent to a  Frozen Page Staying to the right side from the bear, the Slain Hart [37.1N, 43.5W] is being attacked by a Burning Fire-worm and a Fire-tongue Salamander. Continuing up the right side, the Slain Wolf is further away, up and to the right, and there are more enemies between you and it - a Fire-drake Hunter, several Grey Hawks and a Cold-Drake. The Slain Wolf is at [37.7N, 42.8W] - surrounded by another Burning Fire-worm and a Fire-tongue Salamander. To reach the entrance to Stormwall, retrace your steps to the point where you can go west in front of Stormwall and up around the rubble (a statue's face) to its entrance [38.1N, 44.1W] Enter to the central statue, turn left up the stairs to the doors [39.3N, 44.3W] to the interior. Proceed up the stairs past the statue to the Spider Crack and the Spider Corpse.

Background Creatures of flame block the path leading to Stormwall. Objective 1 Defeat dragon-kind on the path to Stormwall (0/10) Examine the slain hart Examine the slain bear Examine the slain wolf You should defeat dragon-kind on the path to Stormwall, which lies northeast of Skarháld. SLAIN BEAR "A recently slain beast." This animal was mauled by a drake. SLAIN HART "A recently slain beast." This animal was mauled by a salamander. SLAIN WOLF "A recently slain beast." This animal was mauled by a worm. Objective 2 Search for the entrance to Stormwall You should search for the entrance to Stormwall, high in the mountains northeast of Skarháld. The sounds of fiery creatures can be heard echoing from within the ruins Objective 3 Defeat foes in Stormwall (0/10) Find the source of all these beasts within Stormwall Stormwall lies high in the mountains northeast of Skarháld. You should defeat enemies in Stormwall and find the source of all these beasts. A large crack in the old hall reveals an entrance to spider-caves! Objective 4 Examine the Spider Corpse Stormwall lies high in the mountains northeast of Skarháld. You should examine the spider corpse you found in Stormwall. These spider remains are not nearly as old as the ones in Glimmerdeep
