Walkthrough & Notes

This quest is part of the Tracking an Old Goat deed. The area in which this quest is offered is fairly small. It is centered on the mid-point between the N and W in Gravenwood on the map (around [81.7S, 12.2W]. You may need to wait a moment for Andreg to activate. You will be able to see the Orc-traps on the ground, even when they are not highlighted as quest objectives. For example, there is an Orc-trap at [81.8S, 12.2W]. Summon Andreg at this point, and he will offer the quest. If you step on one of the traps, you will receive the effect Trapped and will be unable to move for one minute, even after you disable the trap. Note it is possible to inch up to the trap and disable it without triggering it.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'Orcs are cruel beings. They have left many traps throughout the wood, designed to injure and maim, more than to capture. 'Will you help me find and disable them?' Background Andreg is taking you to meet with Saeradan at the Rohirrim scout-camp; however, he needs help with his own mission first. Objective 1 Destroy Orc-traps in the Gravenwood (5) Andreg has asked you to help him find and disable Orc-traps throughout the southern part of the Gravenwood. Objective 2 Talk to Andreg You should speak with Andreg regarding the traps you disabled. Andreg: 'You have done well, <name>. Now the beasts of the wood and the Men who journey here will be able to pass without fear of maiming.'
