Walkthrough & Notes

Gather a small fellowship and head to Tomb of Maenadar. [34.1S, 55.0W] After entering the tomb, take the first right that you come across. This will lead you to a dark portal in the wall, which leads to the Tomb of Maenadar. Once inside, the path is pretty straightforward, but keep an eye out for groups of elites that spawn out of the ground when triggered. At the end of the dungeon you will find the tomb, which needs to be activated. Head back to Newbold Leafcutter with your findings.

Bestowal dialogue 'So you seek knowledge of the shaping tool of Celebrimbor and Maenadar the Craftsman? I know the story well. 'Alas, the tool will not be easy to find, if it even still exists. It was buried with Maenadar in Haudh Iarchith, which has become infested with wights of the vilest sort. 'Haudh Iarchith lies in the southern part of the Barrow-downs, and Maenadar's tomb is found beside it in the cradle of a larger mound of the barrow. Be wary as you journey...the Dead do not take kindly to visitors.' Background Eglamír sent you in search of someone with knowledge of the Barrow-downs and the shaping tool of Celebrimbor. Objective 1 Find the tomb of Maenadar the Craftsman The tomb of Maenadar can be found in the small barrow beside the entrance to Haudh Iarchith in the southern parts of the Barrow-downs. Newbold Leafcutter told you that the shaping tool can be found in the tomb of Maenadar the Craftsman. Newbold Leafcutter: 'The tomb you seek maybe alongside the entrance to the barrows of Haudh Iarchith in the southern Barrow-downs.' Maenadar's Crypt: The tomb of Maenadar the Craftsman has recently been disturbed and any relics which might have lain there have been removed.... The tomb is empty of relics Objective 2 Talk to Newbold Leafcutter in Scholar's Stair Archives You came too late to the tomb of Maenadar and found it despoiled. Angmar arrived first.
