You can rescue the same soldier over and over again if you wait. The one directly ahead of Fearn, between the two rocks is difficult to rescue because every time you clear the area, he has to run back to the start, where a dunlending will surely repop. If you get stuck like that, pull the dunlending far away, toward Fearn and clear far ahead. You will probably be fighting 6-8 mobs at a time. Be prepared with whatever means you have for defense. Avoiding AoE will only make it harder because the injured soldier will run directly for any mob nearby. Clear all the way ahead, all at once if possible, to avoid the fast repop, then talk to the soldier and he won't run back to the start several times. The Injured Rohirrim say random things when you save them.

'If you could find some way to rescue my fallen men, I would be indebted to you, for we are sorely put upon.' Background The Dunlendings relentlessly harry the Rohirrim soldiers atop Dol Baran, affording them little chance to rest or recover their wounded. Several soldiers lie upon the battlefield, seemingly beyond aid. Objective 1 Rescue injured Rohirrim (4) Wounded Rohirrim warriors lie atop Dol Baran, beyond the Rohirrim encampment. Captain Féarn has asked you to rescue injured Rohirrim warriors atop Dol Baran. Injured Rohirrim: 'You came! I thought I would die out here.' Injured Rohirrim says, "You're a sight for sore eyes, and no mistake." Injured Rohirrim says, "I can manage from here." Injured Rohirrim says, "My thanks friend. I thought I was done for."
