Walkthrough & Notes

You can pick this quest up after defeating Dúrchest within Barad Guldur. The quest NPC will pop up automatically. A Skin-bound Tome is found on an altar next to the first sorcerer you have to pull in the whole instance (just after the Dúrchest fight, in the room with the many wights). A Curious Trinket is found to your left in the Fountain Room, the room opposite to you when you climb the first part of the stairs after Dúrchest. The room has a sorcerer and two armoured guards, and the hallway in between is patrolled by another guard and a warg. Dusty Shelves are found during the trash after the Twins fight, in a room with a large window and many bookshelves, left of the path.

Further up this tower lie horrors of Mordor which yearn to smother the light of the world beyond these fell eaves, corrupting Middle-earth as they have corrupted Mirkwood. If you are to march further, you do so in the face of great peril. If you feel able, you should scour this place for any clues or information that will be of use in our campaign against the Enemy, whether it be within these walls or abroad in the greater fight against the Enemy. I wish you luck, <class>! Please bring your findings to me -- but this is not a path that you should walk alone. Bring many strong friends with you upon this venture.' Background The Malladhrim have asked you and your companions to enter Barad Guldur in an attempt to strike at the heart of the forces of Dol Guldur. Objective 1 Collect useful clues or information The relics and tomes of the Necromancer can be found throughout Barad Guldur. You should keep an eye out for any useful clues or information that will aid the efforts of the Malledhrim as you ascend Barad Guldur. Objective 2 Talk to Anglú in Barad Guldur Anglú awaits you in Barad Guldur. You should hasten back to Anglú and tell him of your findings throughout the tower. Anglú: 'Hail, mellon! I am glad to see that you have returned in one piece. Do tell of what you saw in the tower....'
