Bestowal dialogue

'Something has made the gredbyg here more aggressive than they used to be. You defeated some of them before we went to the Brown Lands. Did you notice anything unusual about them?

'Well, I have. On my way back from the Carcass of the Beast, I was set upon by a group of gredbyg. I fought them off, but I noticed something peculiar: as they lay twitching beneath my sword-strokes, their blood seemed to boil, like water over a roiling flame.

'Is this the cause of their newfound aggressiveness? I want you to defeat gredbyg and collect samples of their blood. See if the blood boils and bubbles! What could have caused this?'

Background

Edbrit in the Rushgore was attacked by gredbyg on his way back from the Carcass of the Beast, and he wants to know what has happened to stir up the gredbyg so badly.

Objective 1

  • Collect samples of grodbog blood (0/6)

Gredbyg can be found throughout the Rushgore.

Edbrit has noticed that the blood of the gredbyg in the Rushgore seems to boil and bubble, and he thinks this is the cause of their newfound aggressiveness. He wants you to collect samples of their blood and bring them to him.

Edbrit: 'Collect samples of blood from the gredbyg and bring them to me for study. You can find gredbyg throughout the Rushgore.'
The grodbog blood is boiling hot to the touch!
The grodbog blood bubbles, but is no longer boiling
The grodbog blood is cool to the touch

Objective 2

  • Bring samples of gredbyg blood to Edbrit

Edbrit is waiting for you to bring him samples of blood from the gredbyg in the Rushgore.

Edbrit has noticed that the blood of the gredbyg in the Rushgore seems to boil and bubble, and he thinks this is the cause of their newfound aggressiveness. He wants you to collect samples of their blood and bring them to him.

Edbrit: 'As time went on, the blood you collected ceased to boil? Interesting. It seems that whatever caused this blood to boil has moved on.
'What type of creature could have this effect on the gredbyg? Whatever it may be, its presence alone was enough to make the blood of the gredbyg roil and bubble. And when it moved on, the blood gradually ceased to boil. What evil is this, that its mere presence can so enrage creatures of nature?'
You do not answer Edbrit, but the word "Nazgûl" is on your tongue.
