Nos Grimsong is first met when he his assisting the Elvish expedition at Edhelion Watch, about two years before the current period. He is concerned at what the Dourhands have done at Thorin's Gate. His concerns continue into the current period where he is keeping track of what they are doing in Vale of Thrain area of Ered Luin.
