Lhingris
Location
Lhingris (Sindarin for Web-rifts), is an area within the Plateau of Gorgoroth.
These clefts and valleys between the Ephel Dúath, the Morgai, and the Maegond Spur are infested with spiders and insects, though some Orcs remain.
Lhingris connects to Udûn through Durthang [48.3S, 1.7E] and an unmarked pass just east of the castle. Further east, the road leads to the Ruins of Díngarth in Dor Amarth. [48.1S, 8.6E] South of that road is another road through the Morgai to Magh Ashtu, in Talath Úrui. [53.0S, 10.7E] Another entrance to Talath Úrui is the southern road over Iant Angos [61.6S, 10.5E] There is also a road to the Morgul Vale, but the sealed gate of Fennas Gost prevents travel in this direction. [64.3S, 7.7E]
There are two smaller areas within this part of Gorgoroth: Cirith Ungol, the watchtower overlooking Lhingris; [60.3S, 7.3E] and Kâm Lagúrz, the Brokencleft, a vast cavern with two entrances in the south. [63.7S, 9.3E] [64.2S, 10.7E]
There are no friendly encampments here, but the Ruins of Díngarth and Magh Ashtu are not far east of the Morgai.

Lore
- Sitting between the Ephel Dúath and the Morgai ridge, the valley of Lhingris and its outposts have become overwhelmed by the swarms of spiders, crawlers and gredbyg that have come swarming up from the pits below. The scrambled orcs and men remaining from the many watches set by the Dark Lord are now devoured by the ravenous horde, or become unwilling servants of the Spider-Queen.
- From the gates of Durthang to the Dath Nethryn, everything and everyone within this vale acts in accordance to the designs of their Mistress, weaver of webs and keeper of the dark depths.
