Adding more info?

Some of these quests are part of a quest chain that begins with another quest, and I would like to note the starter quest in the table Gwynnethaer (talk) 01:53, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

Please do not. This page just lists which quests will reward you with a Gift Mathom, and it is not expected to tell you more than that. That is Wiki standard, look at the title and select information that supports the title. Do not add information that is not related to the title. You may add links to other pages that provide that information though.

Each quest that has a prerequisite will display that in its Quest Chain box. I believe there is also a page (maybe more than one) with both named and un-named quest-chains; for more detail on that subject, see Category talk:Quest Chains. — Zimoon 02:15, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

I would like to make a case for including this information, so a user looking for these items has the starting information at hand.

By this logic, the location of these quests would not be included, yet it is given because it is useful for the user; the starting quests/locations would be even more useful to start the user off to these items. Gwynnethaer (talk) 02:42, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

Again, the title says this page is about Gift Mathoms and the description is given. The entire page could have stopped just there. However, the "drop" information was extended with "quest" information, which is fine as they indeed yield this mathom.

I see where you are coming from but that is not how a wiki works. Instead a link to a page which lists prerequisites and chains is OK. You can actually add such a list, or table, on this talk page. That would be great. Topmost, so it is the first things visitors see.

Yeah, when I thought about it, I decided to make a new page, something like "Farming LP in the Shire" and link it to this page. I will need to run a new char through to get all the details. Gwynnethaer (talk) 00:24, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
