Under the north-eastern ridges of High Crag is a sheltered dale, mainly filled with spruce but also some less hardy trees and bushes. A small herd of mammoths enjoy the warmth of the sun in the south as the forest takes the brunt of any icy storms. Be wary around their elder though, it is less tolerable of strangers.
