Location

Dulgabêth the Broken is found in the 3-man instance The Court of Seregost. He is the second boss of the instance.

This is what remains of Dulgabêth, the Black Word after his betrayal by Lhaereth on Amon Thaur.

During Chapter 5.1: A Question of Purpose, which takes place after The Court of Seregost, Mithrandir confirms he is dead.

Tactics

Dulgabêth deals tons of tactical damage to all members of the group, as well as heavy melee damage to the main tank.

He has two tactical attacks of particular note:

  • Disease attack (Bursting Boils): He will yell "Grrnnn!", hunch his body for a few seconds while he winds up, then explode a bunch of disease-filled boils towards each member of the group. The initial attack deals extreme tactical damage; it also leaves behind a plague cloud centered on each player.
  • Shadow attack: Often following close after he applies a shadow debuff, he hits one player twice for high damage each time.

The sheer amount of tactical damage means that on cap level Tier 2, it is entirely necessary to have high, preferably capped, Tactical Mitigation.

Also of note is that he occasionally receives the effect  Hatred. When this is active, every hit he receives will tier up a Melee Damage and Melee Critical Chance buff, from +10% to each to +100% to each (double damage and every hit a critical in melee).
