Crúmgam makes his first appearance before Reeve Fastred at Dagred's Grave in the Sutcrofts.[60.2S, 58.8W]
He is likely responsible for bewitching the scout Aldstan, though Aldstan is freed from his control. Crúmgam later attacks Snowbourn itself with a force of Orcs and comes to the Mead Hall.[60.5S, 62.3W] He is defeated, but escapes. What he is up to immediately after this is unknown, but it is later discovered that Léofdag, son of Winedag, who was slain in the Battle of the Hornburg, was murdered by a traitorous Rohirrim knight who works for this Man of Mordor.
