Caradhras

Caradhras (Sindarin for Redhorn, Barazinbar in Khuzdul) can be seen throughout Eregion as the sharpest peak that rises above Redhorn Pass in the furthest east of this land. The Fellowship of the Ring tried traveling through the Redhorn Pass to cross the Misty Mountains, but were stopped by a brutal blizzard, which forced them to turn south toward the entrance to Moria.

Caradhras, also called the Redhorn (Sindarin: "Caradh-" [Red], "ras" [horn]), is one of the mightiest peaks in the Misty Mountains. [1]
