Auction House
Description
The Auction House is a place where players talk to an Auctioneer and submit items for sale. When submitting an item the players may set a bid price, a buyout price, or both, and must specify the duration of the auction. The service fee depends on as well the item's worth if sold to a vendor as the duration, it is not refunded if the item is not sold. If the item is not sold within the duration it is sent back to the seller by mail.
The submitted items will appear on the auction list and other players that want to buy an item can bid or buyout. If a player bids on an item then the bid price is increased and until the auction time ends if no other players bid on the higher price he will win the auction and get the item. If a player buyouts an item then he instantly wins the auction and gets the item. The coins and the items bought will be sent by mail to the seller and the buyer respectively.
- The Auction List is global, an item offered in Bree-town may be bought everywhere.
- All Auction Houses have mail boxes inside.
- You do have the ability to list items as "kinship only". It will still show up to anyone viewing the auction house but only members of your kinship will be able to bid or buy it out.
- Any auction can be cancelled if done in the same hour or else the following message will be shown: "Sorry, it is too late to cancel that auction; Auctions may only be cancelled within an hour of posting."
- To assure a quick sale, always include a buyout price for your posting!
