Description

Ar-Pharazôn was King of Númenor, the 25th and last of that mighty dynasty of the Númenórean kingdom.

From early age Ar-Pharazôn was true to the Valar and wared Sauron. However, after long years he returned to Númenor and brought wealth with him, and over the residents. When the current king died he sought for power and married Míriel, the King's daughter and his cousin, which was illegal as well as against her will. Thus, in the Second Age 3255 he made himself the King and revealed a less noble heart than his early years might have told.

His head grew high and though he intended to fight Sauron and make him a vassal it was Ar-Pharazôn who in the end became the vassal. To make a long tale short he became a tyrant and led the once wondrous land to the Downfall of Númenor, and the reshaping of Arda, at the wrath of Ilúvatar.

However, Isildur had discovered the grim tidings and managed to steal a fruit of Nimloth, the White Tree of Númenor, as well as informing Elendil to have the entire family rescued. Thus the Line of Elros survived through Elendil, and so did the Line of the White Tree.
