I've promoted you to Ninja :) ..--Lotroadmin 01:40, 12 March 2011 (EST) Okay, a little late on the welcome and promotion, ..

  • Thanks! :) --Torang 04:14, 12 March 2011 (EST)

Hey there, just wanted to thank you for the minor edit on the Skirmish page. I put 'none' in the faction column for those 2 skirms in the table, so it's clear now that they don't give rep. I still don't know about BD Survival though either. Cenryth 11:51, 8 February 2011 (EST)

  • My pleasure! I added the factions column in the first place and have been working to make sure it's accurate. I'll try to test those two skirms on another char soon just to be extra-certain that they don't give rep; it's always possible that the char I used was already kindred in whatever rep would be given. And I'll hope to test that BD skirm eventually, heh. --Torang 16:26, 8 February 2011 (EST)

Hello again, just a reminder to sign your talk page messages. You can do so by typing --~~~~ or using the second button from the right on the editing toolbar. That way it's easy to tell who said what :) --Fedaykin 17:46, 5 March 2008 (PST)

  • Cool, thanks. :) --Torang 15:21, 6 March 2008 (PST)

To do:

Update lore entries - in progress. Arnor, Fornost, Annuminas, Weathertop lore entries are mostly done. Several new lore-only entries are in progress.

Add timelines for each age as well as overviews

Update cities, esp 21st Hall, OG

Update craft tools, make sure craft pages are uniform - in progress

Improve quest lists - woot to the Moria updates! Load off my mind lol. This seems to be under control so I'm gonna back burner it.

Tailor Recipes/Items

Hi there, I see that you've been editing a few of the outdated Tailor recipes/items. As you noted, the old information is quite different from the new. Journeyman, Expert, Artisan, Master, and Supreme all still need to be updated - I'm working on it, but slowly, only have Apprentice and half of Journeyman done. If you'd like to help, that would be great! It would help me if you could commit to a tier or a section, though, so that I can cross it off my list. Of course, I see that you have other projects going on, so it's fine if you don't want to take on another one :) Just let me know - and thanks for fixing those. For an example of the current format we're using for items that are products of multi-output recipes, Tough Leather Armour has been updated completely. Also, we're using a set of generic icons for crafted armour, following the basic format of "Light Armour 1 (uncommon)-icon.png" and "Medium Leggings 2 (rare)-icon.png", &c. The talk pages for different icon categories will have lists of some of the generalized icons, but not all are done yet. Rubyctook 17:01, 19 April 2011 (EDT)

Fair enough, and thanks. I'm undecided honestly if I want to sit down and slog through a whole set of recipes at home right now. The ones I updated today, I was able to access from the office via my.lotro.com and do on my lunch break. I completely understand how much easier it is when it's handled systematically though. If I find myself motivated to handle a section I'll let you know. And thanks for letting me know about the icons; I had made a note to check into that. :) --Torang 18:07, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
Just another comment about the items you edited recently, T - I know it's kind of shocking that the data is so "off," but when Turbine changes things as much as they do, and items go three years without substantive updates...well. That sort of thing happens. ;) That's why they're so "seriously wrong." Sethladan 18:16, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
Heh. I wasn't trying to ruffle anyone's feathers. I understand that the game changes a lot, and I'm well aware of the volunteer nature of this enterprise and the effect this has on the timeliness of updates. I'm not holding anyone responsible; hey, the stuff I put in here now might be quite wrong in 3 years. But some of the discrepancies were nonetheless quite surprising, e.g. going from 291 to 629 armour rating on the same piece. --Torang 18:36, 19 April 2011 (EDT)

Quests

Way to go on cleaning up those Epic quests today - I winced when I saw that you had to go through them three times, though, hahah. Automatically copying over those chains from the category pages makes life so much easier! Sethladan 00:12, 6 May 2011 (EDT)

  • Eh, I realized midway through that it was better to simply cite the category. Heh, well, live and learn. ;) --Torang 01:24, 6 May 2011 (EDT)

Items

Hi there. I noticed you added a couple of items today and used Item:{{PAGENAME}} for the disambigpage field. Its a useful way to add it, but it can cause problems when the item is linked on another page. If you use Item:{{subst:PAGENAME}}, it has the same effect on the item's page, but doesn't cause the problems on other pages. Amphoras 16:14, 15 May 2011 (EDT)

Thanks! I'll fix em. --Torang 16:16, 15 May 2011 (EDT)
