Chat Meeting

Hello Hinney,
this is a reminder that there is a Chat Meeting scheduled for this Saturday at the usual time. You can find out more in the Contributor's Corner. Please try to be there, as we will be holding an open discussion on our plans and goals before and after MoM, as well as any other topics people would like to bring up. --Fedaykin 06:32, 24 July 2008 (PDT)

Hello again. I was looking at some broken links to see about fixing them. Among them was a link to a first-age category and, according to the logs, you removed this category a while back (deleted it).

Warning: You are recreating a page that was previously deleted.,

You should consider whether it is appropriate to continue editing this page. The deletion log for this page is provided here for convenience:

  • 09:39, 9 June 2007 Hinney (Talk | contribs) deleted "Category:First Age" ‎ (content was: 'category:datescategory:time' (and the only contributor was 'Xander'))

The kicker is I was going to put it back and use an excerpt from the lorebook and a link to their page on the subject.

[Lore:First Age]

Before I go about reversing an admins delete, I figured I'd come here and ask if it's OK with you to put the info in there along with the link and credits to the lorebook/Turbine for sourcing it. I'm not sure if you want that kind of stuff here or not but all 4 ages could be mostly 'pointed' at their lore sections with just "here's where you can get info" style briefs on it here.

I'd say we need to meet some time on irc and discuss what exactly is our area of interest if you know what I mean...
we wouldn't want to turn into a web-mirror for lorebook... or a copy of wikipedia... --Xander 14:44, 3 January 2008 (PST)
Sure -- what irc place and channel?
--Eleazaros 14:58, 3 January 2008 (PST)
I agree, we don't want to be a copy of the lorebook, but there's no reason you can't reference it --Hinney 16:28, 3 January 2008 (PST)

Hi, It looks like I duplicated the functionality of an existing template you have on this site. Template:Worth is the one that I duplicated...

I think it'd be better to have 1 version versus multiples that act slightly different. The primary difference between functionality is that my version uses the following code to make the system treat the coin/destiny values as a single word versus the possiblity of word-wrapping splitting the values across lines (number on 1 line, graphic on another, part of a value on one line, the rest on another)...

I see you were the last editor of the template so I figured you'd know best if this layout control would be appropriate or not in the worth template so here's the code for it and you can decide to add it or not...

Insert at the start of the code:
    <span style="white-space:nowrap">

Insert at the end of the code:
    </span>

I'll take some time to review all the templates before making such a mistake again.  :-p

feel free to introduce this change into template, I've adopted it from another wiki long time ago, and in general everyone can edit anything - if something's sensitive enough we will protect it... --Xander 14:44, 3 January 2008 (PST)
What Xander said :) ... --Hinney 16:28, 3 January 2008 (PST)
Ok -- not a problem. Being new here, I just don't want to 'stomp' on someone elses work until I 'know better'. Already doing the 'stumble around a bit' gig so I figured I'd leave such decisions up to someone more familiar with what they are comfortable editing.
Already 'getting over that' a bit -- fixing the creature info template with a few small adjustments to get rid of broken links that shouldn't be there (little stuff... 0 dread now points to dread page, got rid of default link to unknown genus so it'll use the Unknown text in it's place to get rid of those broken links, etc...)

Chat Meeting

Hello Hinney,
just a reminder that there is a Chat Meeting scheduled tomorrow at the usual time. Please try to be there, as we will be discussing the closing of the Logo Contest, the implementation of the new Main Page, and more. --Fedaykin 09:42, 23 May 2008 (PDT)

Still There

Hiya Hinney I am hoping that you may still check the site once in a while... We really could use someone around here that knows how to be a bot, and I know you have one, and can. Please give me a line if you read this. Rogue 00:18, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
