Blackroot Vale

During session play in Vol III Book 3 (where you play as a soldier of Isildur) the area around Erech and the gondorian fort that is under siege is named "Morthond" instead of "Blackroot Vale" (which is simply the sindarin name for Blackroot); since this is an established landmass I think it might have the same name in the open world. --Tharondir (talk) 06:17, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Agree. When playing through this session recently again, I thought I could even see the fortress you get to later on while standing on the Hill of Erech, but that might have been my imagination.

I have no idea how Turbine is going to split things up area wise (if at all).
But, yes, Erech is at the mouth of the Blackroot Vale. According to the Tolkien Gateway:
"Erech was a hill in Gondor situated in the far north of the province of Lamedon at the mouth of the Blackroot Vale, far to the west of Minas Tirith.[1] It lay near to the southern entrance to the Paths of the Dead. Upon the summit stood a smooth black globe, the Stone of Erech."
The Beacon at Halifirien (Warning beacons of Gondor) is visible, but not accessible from Beaconwatch, so we know that portion of (Northern) Gondor is already "existent" as was commented by a Blue name early in the HD Beta. But that is on the other side of the mountains.
For what it's worth. I'm guessing that there will be no 13.2, unless some "nasty" surfaces. 13.1 is almost a "non-update." Which implies that the first Beta (hopefully still open) for 14.0 will hit about the end of May or first week in June.
