Different text for Beornings

I can't check this quest since it is the one Vales quest my Beorning has already completed Feuerhaar (talk) 08:47, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm going through my characters that have done it already and am seeing different Bestowal, Background and Objective texts. My Elf Hunter (Heritage: Mirkwood) has the same as is already published, whereas my Elf Rune-keeper (Heritage: Lindon), Elf Warden (Heritage: Edhellond) and Hobbit Minstrel (Heritage: Fallohides) have the following text. Could it be that these quests were picked up directly from Thranduil or might it be a versioning issue?
Bestowal Dialogue
King Thranduil requires your assistance in the Vales of Anduin. Thranduil has deemed Eryn Lasgalen safe and has opened the western road from Felegoth to the Vales of Anduin. He wishes for trade to continue between the Elves and Beornings. This was met with resistance from Grimbeorn, the leader of the Beornings, for reasons unknown. King Thranduil requires this dispute to be resolved hastily and diplomatically. The Elves, Men, and dwarves of the north all rely heavily upon trade. The security of the north is as stake.
Background
King Thranduil wishes to resolve a trade dispute in the Vales of Anduin so that he may continue to provide assistance to the Men, Elves, and dwarves of the north.
Objective 1/2 description
Legolas can be found at the Forest Gate between Eryn Lasgalen and the Vales of Anduin.
You should talk to Legolas about King Thranduil's request to open the trade route through the Beorning-lands in the Vales of Anduin.
Objective 3 is the same as Objective 4 (already published, go to Grimbeorn)

The objectives on this quest page do look strange. 2 and 3 are the exact same and 1 is just information not really an objective.
The missing Black book information might actually be a versioning issue since when i did it a week ago there was no requirement of doing Black Book Chapter 10.1 anymore (I finished the quest and did only start the Black Book with the Interlude, Beorning Valar lvl 120)
In that case we probably need to update the whole quest.
Feuerhaar (talk) 17:42, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
It makes sense that it's a versioning issue, since my one character that was different did it much earlier than my others. I've updated it with the new text plus some Beorning-specific dialogue. Side note: I've seen many of these auto-bestowed quests with identical objective 1 and 2 texts. It must be some sort of technical reason that they do it that way. Dadwhereismom (talk) 19:56, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Now I'm genuinely confused. I just completed this on a Beorning and got the dwarf text. It must be that I picked it up while doing the Black Book in Ered Mithrin but I wasn't paying much attention. Dadwhereismom (talk) 13:14, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Totally Different text

I'm following the book quests on my Hunter, and after completing The Black Book of Mordor: Chapter 8, the quest was auto bestowed, but with different background and objectives, can anyone verify? Tiberivs (talk) 15:01, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

Bestowal Dialogue
The dwarves of the North will need your help if they are to survive the dangers that threaten them.
If you are interested in following the storyline of the Black Book of Mordor, Chapter 10 will bring you naturally to the Vales of Anduin. Chapter 9 is available by speaking with Durin on the upper level of Skarháld.
Background
Gandalf believes that a greater task than assisting the Zhélruka and the Dwarves of Erebor has fallen upon those not completely vested in reclaiming the Grey Mountains.
Objective 1
The Dwarves of the North still need your help before you venture to the Vales of Anduin.
If you are interested in following the storyline of the Black Book of Mordor, Chapter 10 will bring you naturally to the Vales of Anduin. Chapter 9 is available by speaking with Durin on the upper level of Skarháld.
Objective 2
The Black Book of Mordor will bring you to the Vales of Anduin in Chapter 10.
Complete 'The Black Book of Mordor, Chapter 10.1: A New Journey'
Legolas can be found at the Forest Gate between Eryn Lasgalen and the Vales of Anduin.
Talk to Legolas at the Forest Gate in Eryn Lasgalen

END of Tiberivs's comment.

LotroCompanion lists two same-name quests for this one. Exactly the same level, requirements, next quest, and rewards. Meaning, there are two versions of this quest. From LC it is not possible to know what triggers a different quest for those who face the quest how it looks like now versus the one Tiberivs and maybe others are facing.
By the green text of the bestowal dialogue it seems the one described on this talk page is what characters entering the trigger area too early, while the main page describes the "natural way through the Mordor book". Maybe we should create a second page for this one for the early-bird case? And interlink the two pages? — Zimoon 16:04, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
