Bestowal Dialogue

'It must have been the cultists from Angmar! Did I say they would pay for their intrusion into Gloomingtarn? That was nothing compared to this insult! The villains who hauled away the Black Stone Anvil will suffer the wrath of the dwarves and all who call them friend! I will not sleep until those responsible are slain!

'You will aid my in this, yes? I ask that you slay one hundred and one Angmarim cultists in Gloomigntarn! That will show them the reach of our anger, and still it will only be the start!'

Background

Slagvi has sworn vengeance upon the Angmarim cultists that removed the Black Stone Anvil from the island of Durin's awakening.

Objective 1

Slagvi has demanded that you slay one hundred and one Angmarim as payment for their theft of the Black Stone Anvil.

You hear Slagvi calling for you from the Stone of Wakening

Objective 2

  • Talk to Slagvi on the island in the lake

Slagvi is standing on the Stone of Wakening, the island in the middle of the Gloomingtarn lake.

Slagvi: 'I have decided... reluctantly... that such slaughter will not prove a salve for the hurt done my people, though the villains who stole the Black Stone Anvil deserve such dealings. Let us instead learn where they have taken it, that we may recover it and restore it to this sacred ground. Many more than one hundred and one cultists may fall before we accomplish this, and I will not weep for them.
'But I see that Bósi and his kin have arrived on the lakeshore. Let them know the Black Stone Anvil has been stolen, but tell them gently; they suffered a great deal in Moria, and this insult will grieve them no less than it does me.'

Objective 3

  • Meet up with Bósi and the other Longbeards on the lakeshore

Bósi and some other Longbeards have come to the lakeshore in Gloomingtarn.

Bósi greets you warmly

Objective 4

  • Talk to Bósi on the lakeshore in Gloomingtarn

Bósi is on the lakeshore in Gloomingtarn.

Bósi: 'I am saddened by the theft of the Black Stone Anvil, but I think we can recover it. Mark my words: forging-hammers will once again ring against it, echoing throughout the caverns of Gundabad. We will make certain of it, not only to honour Durin the Deathless who built it, but also for the memory of Stóthkell the Forge-master, who fell in Máttugard.
'My son thinks he knows where the Black Stone Anvil was taken.'
