Guards of Faldham are found inside the Mead Hall of Faldham.
Dialogue
"Thane Elfmar welcomes you to Faldham. Is there something I may help you with?"
- Q: 'Who is in charge here?'
- A: 'Elfmar, son of Elfhelm, presiding Thane of Faldham. In the absence of his father, Elfmar has been everything one could ask for in a leader. He is a master swordsman, a gifted rider, and has fought bravely alongside his shield-brother, Éomer of Edoras'
- Q: 'What has happened here?'
- A: 'Reeve Athelward has called for the people here to evacuate their lands, and has requested that all able riders report to his commanders in Cliving. The crofters here have refused to leave their homes, and in turn, Elfmar's most brave and skillful riders have offered to stay and protect them. Elfmar has agreed to prepare his riders, the Elfward, to repel the White Hand forces gathering to the north.'
- Q: 'What of Elfmar's family?'
- A: 'Elfmar's father, Elfhelm, left his position as Thane when he was summoned to serve as Marshal of the garrison of Edoras, in succession to the late Marshal Éomund. Of late, Elfhelm embarked from Rohan to assist Prince Théodred and Grimbold of Grimslade, at the Fords of Isen.
Elfmar's sister, Elflád, is wedded to Reeve Fastred of the Sutcrofts, and dwells with her husband in Snowbourn.
- Q: 'Who are the Elfward?'
- A: 'The Elfward are a group of exeptionally talented riders and warriors who have sworn loyalty to Thane Elfmar. They have served not only Elfmar, but at times have lent aid to Marshalls Elfhelm, and Éomer. Athelward has requested that Elfmar's riders be sent north to defend the capital, but the Elfward has rejected his summons and have sworn to protect the crofters of Faldham.'
