Thanks for your contributions. There are certainly a lot of cosmetic looks missing, so any help is appreciated! --Ravanel (talk) 10:48, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

Pics

Hi... Try to avoid taking pics with black background, 'cause weapon or armour edges often inosculate with the background and it does not look good... The best way is to take it outside (snow around Thorin's Hall is just perfect, unless an item is white or too bright)... Also, if there is a good pic of the same kind, already uploaded, no need to upload another, unless it's different colour or something... If the pic is ancient low resolution, feel free to upload better one anytime...

My pics have black background because I'm taking them from Dressing Room (with plug-in for its bigger size). In this way, they can have high resolution (and thus have lot of visible details), I can make them anytime (no matter where or when I am in the game during my gameplay) and what is most important, I can make pictures of any item regardless its type. So, for example, I can make pictures of halberd or shield with my champion, or high lvl shield with my low lvl guardian, or item which needs some trait or reputation lvl, or simply all rewards from received quest before I finish it and will be forced to choose only one of them. If it's problem, I can only update stats of items here on wiki and will leave the pictures to the others.

Consider using a graphics program to "brighten up" your images - Help:Images. Depending on the program, you can simply adjust the exposeure or contrast of the image to bring out details, easily.

What does this has to do with the fact that Dressing Room has black background in the game by default? My images are not dark, they have almost black background because of the Dressing Room, that's all. Or are you refering the part where I wrote "...they can have high resolution (and thus have lot of visible details)..."? So you want to say that lower resolution pictures enhanced in any kind of graphics program looks better than pictures with higher resolution? Really? And what about the rest of my arguments?
It's simple. As I already wrote, if you guys don't like my pictures from the game, it's easy to tell me. I will stop making them and will only update stats of the items here on wiki. I can even spare some time like this and focus more on playing instead of trying to help others.

I think its fine. A picture with a nice clear background might be ideal, but if the choice is a black background or no picture, it seems clear to me that having a picture is better than none. You're adding a lot of missing information, and if you're even taking the time to add pictures for items you can't even equip, that's great. Amphoras (talkTalk to me!) 20:47, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
What plug-in do you use for Dressing Room expansion?
Steppenwolf (talk) 06:54, 16 November 2016 (UTC)Steppenwolf
Simply called "larger dressing room window", not sure if i can post link here, but check this http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info676-Largerdressingroomwindow.html

Thanks... I had that one, but didn't know I have to activate it through skins, not through plugins...

You've been promoted to Ninja! I can't believe you haven't been promoted earlier after so many edits - an oversight on our part. Keep the gorgeous weapon cosmetics coming! :) --Ravanel (talk) 11:27, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
