The Fellowship of the Ring - The Book

The Fellowship of the Ring is the first book of J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. It tells of how the Hobbit Frodo Baggins came to bear the Ring of Power sought by the Dark Lord Sauron and of the companions who accompanied him on his journey towards Mordor to destroy the Ring.
In LOTRO, Volumes One and Two of the Epic Quest line deal with events in this first book.

The Fellowship of the Ring - The Company of Nine

Within the world of Middle-earth, the Fellowship of the Ring refers to the Companions who set forth from Rivendell to accompany Frodo Baggins on his quest. This company included Frodo himself; the Hobbits Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took, and Meriadoc Brandybuck; the Elf prince Legolas; the Dwarf Gimli; the Ranger Aragorn, secret heir to the throne of Gondor; the Gondorian Captain Boromir; and the Wizard Gandalf the Grey.
