Error 500

I added the new Beorning Erebor armour sets, but typed "Jacket" instead of "Breastplate" (Item:Breastplate of the Erebor Roar). Whenever I try to make another edit to the page to change this, the page loads until it displays "Error 500" with a time-out response. Any ideas whats going on? --Tharondir (talk) 13:03, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

There are more than 500 Templates??? in the page now (armour, marks, ...), but the wiki has a limit of 500 such objekts per page. Maybe we have to split the page in more pages, as it was also made with Skirmish-Classic? In Skirmish-Jewellery and Cloaks I solved this problem in a different way, but I'm not happy with this solution. Barny (talk) 14:11, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
I see... since there are more items missing from this list (lvl90, 95 and 100 skirmish armour), the number of templates would go up even more. If splitting works, then maybe that's what we should do, if there is no way to go around the limit of 500. --Tharondir (talk) 14:33, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
I would prever a splitting into Levels (as we have in Medium Armour (Level 21-40) Index). Maybe in Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 20-65), Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 66-85) and Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 86-100)? Or shoult we make more? Barny (talk) 14:47, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
I like your suggestion, I think covering about 20 levels per page seems reasonable. :) --Tharondir (talk) 14:56, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 20-40), Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 41-65), Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 66-85) and Skirmish-Medium Armour (Level 86-100)? Level 41-65 has 25 levels, but I think this is better than splitting between level 60 and 61. The most work will be the changes inside the Items (Barter Information). We can let the Barter Information the same, than we have now. Barny (talk) 15:46, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
OK, lets make it so. :) --Tharondir (talk) 16:53, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

The only comment I would make -- "Theoretically" all of the "stuff" in LOTRO follows the same "banding pattern(s)" (he said with an evil chuckle). The only problem is, I don't really have any idea what those bands are.
  • Are they the same as for Crafted Armour? My guess is, probably.
  • How does "Level Scaling" "band" things? I don't routinely do any of the raids, skirmishes, instances, etc. where loot is "scaled" and it is a new mechanic. Or, at this point in time "relatively new."
  • All armour and jewellery, and probably other "loot drops" are now "scaled" according to this new system -- except for the "old stuff" which isn't!
  • All of this new system came into being when the "Item Level" parameter was "unveiled." As best we have learned from Turbine, that parameter has always existed in the database, it only just became visible to the players in Update ?12? or ?13?.
  • Keep in mind that Turbine no longer "drops" things or allows usage of things according the Player Level, but rather according to Item Level. That may be how the "banding" has always been accomplished. I don't know. But if you consider that Item Level 156 (and likely higher) is active currently in-game... ???
Back, before the December Layoffs, one of the Devs (Verizal) was posting about the Level 95 scaling loot.
See: User:Magill/Sandbox-scratch-1 and User:Magill/Sandbox-scratch-3 - I don't know if there is any useful information there or not.
notes and other external comments may be of more use. There is also a link to the table User:Jaymz6/Level_95_Loot_Table created, and an external Google docs spread sheet.
