Couple of notes:

  1. The other seer should be mentioned, so that it is known he is irrelevant.
  2. My kin were saying Narn's special is that he reflects damage back at the attacker - so if the tank can keep aggro without causing too much damage (!) they will need less healing.

  1. Which Seer are you talking about? I might have missed something during the encounter, but I thought there were only the four mentioned?
  2. I don't doubt that's true, so we'll put it in unless proven to be wrong. This also goes back on why I added in that he should be kited... he smacked me once at the start of the fight before the tank got him and he hit harder than a freight train :o . --Fedaykin 16:40, 11 November 2007 (PST)
I think he means the everseer. He's irrelevant and you won't battle him atleast not until the balrog if even there (we havent quite made it that far yet :P)--Anarchie 22:39, 11 November 2007 (PST)
That's my (she!) point Anarchie; he is irrelevant, but a group who's never been there before won't know that and will wonder why he's not been mentioned & what else the guide has gotton wrong. DancesInTrees 00:14, 12 November 2007 (PST)
Ah, ok =P I will go ahead and add the guy then. --Fedaykin 02:13, 12 November 2007 (PST)

Kiting is evidently a successful strategy for this fight, but it is one I have never seen used. Our kin just tanks Narn. Initially it took a lot of healing, but with a LM removing the Melted Armour effects on the tank things are very manageable. I didn't know Sticky Tar was a LM skill until I read this article. :D (we do not kite Barz or Zurm either) --Morhad 13:15, 28 January 2008 (EST)

I agree that you don't need to kite him. I just think it makes the fight easier. You can add a note or something that he doesn't really need to be kited if you like though... and as for Barz, well, that's another similar situation. Kiting him around the rock is a piece of cake and doesn't require any healing, but sure, if you want to make it a little harder on yourself you don't need to do it. --Fedaykin 20:18, 28 January 2008 (PST)
The main problem with kiting him is the GRD doesnt really build up a lot of threat on him. The whole fight starts around narnu instantly as the GRD takes agro. However if minstrels build up too much threat healing the others (or the GRD) Narnu will jump them instantly. My kinship has never wiped on thrang, we have a guard on narnu, a loremaster to remove debuffs from him (aswell as do a little darkling duty) and a minstrel that pays extra notice to the GRD. This tactic works like a charm and imo makes a less hectic battle than kiting him around

Now that Guardians have abilities like Engage and Fray the Edge, kiting him should be no problem what-so-ever. I managed to kite him around both sides and over the platform with no difficulties on aggro due to keeping Fray the Edge up (adds threat) and Engage which slows him and taunts him. I'm going to make a few modifications to the kiting strategy here though. --Fedaykin 12:38, 24 March 2008 (PDT)
