As I still am kind of new here, I was wondering about this page. Should the tables about monster play be removed, as they are obsolete, or should they be kept with notes that they are no longer valid, but that they used to be like this? -- Candlelight (talk)

Well, there are still destiny points in-game, so this page should be updated with how they still can be acquired and where they can be spent on. If the lotro archaeologists under us want to keep the old information, I'd suggest moving it to the bottom of the page, with a very clear message that it does not work like this anymore. I wouldn't mind it being removed myself, as it's usually just confusing to keep this old information on the same page. --Ravanel (talk) 18:43, 3 May 2012 (EDT)

Skills or Effects?

Since I'm not VIP I can't spend Destiny Points for these perks, but I'm surprised that many of the linked pages use the skill template. I would think they would be effects, instead. Can anyone confirm how they work in the game? -- Elinnea (talk) 11:22, 7 May 2012 (EDT)

Any perks I have used have worked like an effect rather than like a skill. I suppose they are something like a temporary passive skill, but there is, IIRC, an icon in your vitals display with a countdown timer. RingTailCat (talk) 00:01, 8 May 2012 (EDT)

F2P users?

These purchases do not seem to be available to F2P users (the 'use destiny' button in the destiny dialog is greyed out), but there is an 'unlock' button that seems to imply that there is a store purchase to enable their use -- but I can't find it. What is it? Or is the existence of the unlock button a red herring? Periata (talk) 03:39, 10 March 2013 (EDT)

There are store consumables that give equivalent buffs to the ones you get from destiny points - the unlock button just opens the store page for those. There's no way to use DP itself without subscribing. -- Eggolass (talk) 03:51, 10 March 2013 (EDT)
