Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue 'Barad Dúrgul awaits. If we are to recover Narchuil from the hands of the Enemy, it will take more than your courage alone. You will need to gather allies if you are to assault that keep. 'I will send Narucham ahead to scout the way. You should seek him out as soon as you enter into Barad Dúrgul. 'When you are ready to leave, come and speak with me again.' This quest is meant for a fellowship. If you choose to undertake this quest solo you will receive an inspiration bonus, but the challenge will be great. Background The orders you recovered from the Angmarim at Barad Dúrgul appear to confirm that Narchuil resides there. Objective 1 Recover Narchuil Gwathryn is at Tármunn Súrsa in Angmar. Gwathryn has bid you enter Barad Dúrgul and recover the ring Narchuil. Narucham awaits you within the fortress. Gwathryn: 'Are you ready to enter Barad Dúrgul? Doubtless, we are walking into a trap, but we must recover Narchuil if it is within our power!' Complete the Instance: Weapons of the Enemy Objective 2 Talk to Gwathryn Gwathryn is at Tármunn Súrsa in Angmar. You should report at once to Gwathryn. Gwathryn: 'This is a sad day for me, <name>. How many more of my brethren must die ere the end? 'It is easy to lose heart, but be glad, for we have wrested a great power from the hand of the Enemy this day, even if it is not truly what we sought.'
