Stances

Stances enable the minstrel to adapt to a specific role in combat. While certain stances appear to be aligned with certain trait branches, all stances are available regardless of what trait branch you choose as your specialty. Each stance places a multitude of restrictions on playstyle so it is critical that the Minstrel understand the strengths and weaknesses of each one.

File:Resonance Stance-icon.png Resonance - Stance Stance None Toggle N/A 1s This stance serves as the Minstrel's primary healing stance. The Minstrel receives a 10 percent increase to Outgoing Healing.



Anthem Skills

The Minstrel employs Anthems to greatly improve whatever purpose he/she serves on the field of battle. Each Anthem requires that three non-specific ballad buffs be present on the Minstrel. Anthem Cooldown, Duration and Intensity may vary depending on trait configuration and Legendary Item Legacies.

Note: Anthem of War and Anthem of the Third Age are the only Anthems accessible without investing trait points in the Protector of Song branch of the trait tree. Anthem of Prowess and Anthem of Composure are now tied to that branch and are listed in the Protector of Song skill list. Anthem of the Third Age has three different versions depending on the stance you are using at the time.

Each of the Minstrel's specializations give access to a different Anthem skill:


Tactical 28 Buff N/A 15s This anthem reduces the power cost of additional anthems by 20%. In addition, it alters the Coda of Melody to reapply Anthem of the Third Age on a critical hit.


This skill requires Melody stance.

Dissonant Anthem of the Third Age Tactical 28 Buff N/A 15s Increases damage of all call skills by 10% for 10 seconds. In addition, it alters the Coda of Dissonance to reset the cooldown on Call of the Second Age.


This skill requires Dissonance stance.

Anthem of the Third Age - Resonance Tactical 28 Buff N/A 15s Increases Outgoing Healing by 10% and decreases skill induction time by 25%. In addition, it alters the Coda of Resonance to enable your next Bolster Courage cast to be instant for 10 seconds.


This skill requires Resonance stance.

Improved Cry of the Chorus (Dissonance) Tactical 26 Buff N/A 2m 30s This skill is equivalent to Cry of the Chorus (Dissonance) but also provides 20 seconds of silence immunity.

Healing and Motivation Skills

This minstrel has a variety of single-target and area-of-effect heals to support his/her fellowship as well as a self and fellow protection bubble to bolster morale in desperate times.

Enlivening Grace Tactical 14 Heal N/A None Single-target ressurection with an 8.0 second induction. This skill ressurects the target with 50% Morale and 0% Power.
Bolster Courage Tactical 16 Heal N/A None Single-target heal skill with a 2.3 second induction. This skill can target both the Minstrel and his/her allies.

This skill is improved in The Watcher of Resolve trait branch.
Story of Courage Tactical 16 Cure N/A 10s A fellowship cure that removes up to one Disease, Wound, Fear, or Poison effect from targets within 45 meters of the minstrel. Strength is dependant on level.
Inspire Fellows Tactical 20 Heal N/A 5s Fellowship heal skill with a 2.5 second induction. It has a range of 20.2 meters and will heal all fellowship members within a radius of 20m. In addition to healing, this skill also reduces incoming Ranged, Tactical, and Melee damage by 1% for 30 seconds.
This skill is improved in The Protector of Song trait branch.
Fellowship's Heart Tactical 30 Heal N/A 5s Fellowship heal skill with a 2.0 second induction. It has a range of 20.2 meters and will heal all fellowship members within a radius of 20m. After the initial heal, this skill applies a Heal-over-time that applies every 3 seconds for 30 seconds. This skill also removes 3 fear effects with strength dependent on level.

Timeless Echoes of Battle Tactical 8 Toggle Skill Cry 5s This skill decreases the target's Song and Cry resistance and applies a persistent Damage-over-time effect. This is a channelled skill that costs 1 power per second.

The Melody of Battle Tactical 8 Toggle Skill N/A 5s This skill increases the target's parry rating and causes the target to reflect a small amount of damage on every hit. This is a channelled skill that costs 1 power per second.

  • In  Scribe Stance these skills allow the Minstrel to create Instruction manuals for other players.
These manuals do not require the Minstrel and the trainee to be in proximity of each other, as Mentoring does.
For example,  Mentor : Horn becomes  Scribe Manual : Horn, which allows you to create a Manual of the Horn.

The cooldown also extends to 10 days.
