Mincham is a Ranger of Aragorn's kin and has long years since watched over the fields of Fornost in the North Downs. Long ago, he was married and had a daughter, but while being on duty at his watch the two were waylaid by orcs. Ever since having buried them he has lived with the guilt of those happenings. Yet he remained faithful to his kin and has been watching over those fields for long years.
Mincham is also known for his long studies of the Enemy and for being proficient in the Black Speech of Mordor.
Later in the Epic storyline, Mincham is summoned to join the Grey Company on their travel south from from Rivendell.
Mincham (North Downs)
Mincham is first found at Mincham's Camp in the North Downs. There he is watching over the Fields of Fornost and has noticed the sudden increase of orcs and fell creatures out of Angmar of recent.
