Drop Locations

As best as I can tell, one cannot gain any of these until one finishes Vol 1, Book 6 (or one of the quests therein). This is because one dies quickly when one travels to the area where the critters that drop them live.

It's true that you need to finish Quest:Chapter 6: Challenging the Stone to be able to walk across the Rammas Deluon to get to most of the orcs that drop these in eastern Angmar. There are a few other tricks to get past the Rammas Deluon without the Epic- having a friend port you, or taking Bálach Iaran to avoid walking across Angmar (very dangerous at low levels though).
