Description

Dori and his brothers Nori and Ori were part of the famous throng that is depicted in The Hobbit, together with Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin, and many more. It was Dori who had the less pleasant task to look after Bilbo, and sometimes also to carry him. Within the tunnels of The Misty Mountains it was Dori who was tripped while being pursued by goblins so that Bilbo was lost. Then, while Bilbo was searching for a way out he rather struggled downwards and eventually discovered a certain Ring and Gollum's Cave.

This all happened a long time ago, during the quest to recover the treasures of Durin's Folk lost long ago to the dragon Smaug. This is the true story, as told in The Hobbit, and it happened long before today's timings in the Middle-earth. Now, in the time of the Lotro, Dori has become an old, but wise and capable dwarf.
