Class Trait Point
- A
Class Trait Point is used to populate the "Trait Tree" of a particular character.
- Trait Points begin to accumulate every other level beginning at level 7, i.e. one point at every odd numbered level.
- While leveling: (Level -5)/2 = base points.
- Lvl 65 - (65-5) 60/2 = 30 -- Starting with level 7, one point every other level = 30 base points.
- Lvl 85 - (85-5) 80/2 = 40 -- Starting with level 7, one point every other level = 40 base points.
- Lvl 95 - (95-5) 90/2 = 45 -- Starting with level 7, one point every other level = 45 base points.
- Lvl 100 - (100-5) 95/2 = 47 -- Starting with level 7, one point every other level = 47 base points.
- Lvl 105 - (105-5) 100/2 = 50 -- Starting with level 7, one point every other level = 50 base points.
- While leveling: (Level -5)/2 = base points.
- At present (Update 20), there are a maximum of eighty-three (83) Class Trait Points available from all sources for a Level 105 character:
- In addition to the base points (see above), 15 Class Trait Points are acquired for completing Class Deeds which are unique for each class:
- Eight Class Meta Deeds award one Class Trait Point each. (earning 8 points)
- General Class Deeds:
- Completing Legendary Book Pages awards 1 Class Trait Point for each book. (earning 3 points)
- Completing the Level 50 (also called Lvl 45) Class Quest Chain. (earning 1 point)
- Obtain Kindred with the Iron Garrison Guards and read their book. (earning 1 point) (Minimum level 58 required.)
- Complete 6 Epic Books for The Mines of Moria (Logs under Epic tag) (earning 1 point)
- Completing the Level 58 Class Quests. (earning 1 point)
- Earning Promotion Points from Epic Battles (earning 2 points)

- Note: Up to 50 Promotion Points may also be purchased in the LOTRO Store (395 TP per 10 Promotion Points).
- Completing the five regional Quest Chains in West Rohan (earning 5 points) hint: if you open the area page (ie Kingstead) instead of the quest (ie Road to Dunharrow), you can stay on track more easily when there are vector quests

- 50 from every odd level from 7 to 105.
- 8 from completing the class deed meta-deeds.
- 3 from completing the legendary books available at level 39.
- 1 from completing the pair of class quests available at level 45.
- 1 from completing the Moria class quest chain available at level 58.
- 1 from reading the legendary book available from the Iron Garrison Guards vendor upon reaching Kindred.
- 1 from completing Volume II, Book 6 of the Epic.
- 2 from earning 200 Promotion Points in Epic Battles. (Note that these points can also be purchased in the LOTRO Store.)
- 5 from completing each of the area quest chains in West Rohan.
- 4 from completing each of the area quest chains in Central Gondor.
- 1 from completing Volume IV, Book 2 of the Epic.
- 1 from completing Quest:Ashes and Stars, Chapter 4 in Eastern Gondor.
- 1 from completing Volume IV, Book 4, Chapter 10: The Defence of Minas Tirith
- 1 from completing Volume IV, Book 4, Chapter 11: Hammer of the Underworld
- 1 from completing the deed Quests of Old Anórien
- 1 from completing the deed Deeds of Old Anórien
- 1 from completing Volume IV, Book 8, Chapter 7: Mordor Triumphant

Notes
- The "Mines of Moria" point is logged in your Deed Log under "Class/Race/Epic," on the "EPIC tab.
- Does not apply to Beornings
- Beornings receive one Class Trait Point each, for their Level 15 and level 30 Class Quests, instead.
- The Lvl 50 Class Quest point is logged in your Quest Log under completed quests, under your class.
- The Lvl 58 Class Quest point is logged as a Deed in your Deed Log by name.
