Just a small...

It's nice to see your contributions, keep them coming.

Just a friendly reminder, I noticed you ordered quests at a location page (The Guest Rooms) which may be correct, I hope. Yes, we use to sort quests at location and NPC pages by level, then alphabetically ... with one subtle exception: chained quests are ordered as the chain is no matter level nor name. Remember that at that kind of pages we do not "indent" the quests to indicate dependencies (for aesthetic reasons I presume) but only at quest-only pages. I have not checked the page and the quests but wanted to help you in advance, and also to let you know your contributions are noticed :) Zimoon 02:11, 21 November 2011 (EST)

<player name> vs. [your name] vs. (character name)

I've seen all three on Quest Pages. Perhaps this could be made universal? Problem is, which is correct? ProfessorBumbleroot (talk) 01:48, 24 November 2011 (EST)

Indeed so. There are even more variations. About the text, if anything it should be "character name" or "name" but not "player name" as the player sits behind the keyboard but it is his character who is within the game. Even if many players feel themselves being absorbed by the game there is a limit ;) Personally I prefer <name> which is shorter and to use [] I have to use AltGr-[ and AltGr-] which is more awkward than <>.
But to be honest it does not matter whatever you decide as long as you replace the spoken name with <name> or whatever. At a Wiki we expect anybody to submit at a large or small scale and we cannot expect all of these to read all "rules" we try to set up, the worst mistakes are handled though, rest assured. But that also implies we have to be quite forgiving when it comes to negligible variations, don't you think?

I just happened to notice...

You changed your off-wiki status from unemployed to working in sales. Congrats on being employed, and good luck with the studies! I'm still among the set of unemployed folks, which does help with my wiki productivity. ;) -- Elinnea (talk) 18:56, 10 March 2012 (EST)
