Finnish

Hi and thanks for the interesting additions on the meanings of Finnish names. I moved the translation to under Lore as the translations really do not fit under the sections for "landmarks", etc. The heading kind of indicates what info it contains, and translations was not it ;)

Another approach is to add the translation of each name to the location page respectively. That could be done in the second paragraph of the location page (the one with coords being the first), if done cleverly. And...if you really want that...have a table of all names top-most of the talk-page of Forochel. Why? Because, none of the names relates to Forochel per se, but to locations within, and this way you keep relevant data at appropriate places but piggy-back on a talk-page where we have much more leeway.

Great job though, keep it up, will you not? :) -- Zimoon 10:43, 20 October 2012 (EDT)

Going to ask our kinmate more about the translations - the terms valley, canyon & gorge are semi-interchangeable -> which one to most appropriately use. After which let's go over the individual entries and make the formats more uniform? -Object404 (talk) 06:04, 22 October 2012 (EDT)
Nice job on those translations.
To answer Object404's question "After which let's go over the individual entries and make the formats more uniform?"
Yes, please. Have a look at Create new location and the different boilerplates to see the quite strict format we have been using for locations since quite some time ago, but obviously begun after Forochel was created. The very first line is strict, very strict. The next paragraph(s) are quite flexible but should be informative, such as location information, surroundings, and what to expect, but worded nicely. Lore goes to ... Lore. Here the Finish translations fit perfectly, in a paragraph after the first sentence. But I notice the pages do not follow the format and I still have at least one region to finish (Angmar) on my region-wide location mission, before doing Forochel, if not doing Eregion there-in-between. Either way, I will get to Forochel too, so do as you please for now ;) -- Zimoon 08:27, 22 October 2012 (EDT)
Oh, very nice! Those translations are interesting and well worth having. Pass along thanks to your kinmate as well. :) -- Elinnea (talk) 11:14, 22 October 2012 (EDT)
I have now entered Forochel in my endless hunt of location makeovers. I found a few other words that possibly are of Finnish origin. For example "Sûrmaya", "susi", and "Sivullinen". I think most are mentioned at Lossoth (Scenery). Are there Finnish translations that make sense you think?

I have moved some of the "Lossoth ↔ Finnish" stuff to Forochel - Lossoth - Finnish - Nomenclature as a starter where not only location names but more "Lossoth/Finish" translations may go. And there are quite a few, just reading the quest texts, etc., the page can at least double in almost no time. Just wanted to let you know where it "disappeared" ;-)
