Faelasdros is the randomly assigned name that LOTRO gave to my first character that I created when I started playing in November 2010. He is an Elf hunter on Dwarrowdelf currently working his way through the solo quests in West Rohan.

I soloed my way to level 64 on him when the level cap was 65 when I met up with some members of the Awakened kinship, who invited me to the kin. That was back in April of 2011. In the summer of 2011, I rolled up a Dwarf guardian (Dinsdale) and a Hobbit minstrel (Hoho). They each reached the level cap. I developed a severe case of altoholism in 2012, rolling up one of each class and setting them up in each of the crafting guilds. I now have nine characters on Dwarrowdelf, with five level 85+ and four others level 67-69. The sixtysomethings hang out in Galtrev and craft. Eventually, I'd like to get them all to level cap.

I took the Coursera MOOC on online games, taught by Jay Clayton of Vanderbilt in the fall of 2013. For that class, I rolled up a couple of toons on Gladden, where the professor has his main characters in a kinship called Vicarious Universe. It was a nice break from Wildermore. I took a lot of time off from the game before Helm's Deep came out, and now I'm slowly easing back into the routine. That led me to check out lotro-wiki to see what I could find out about West Rohan and the new content. It turns out there wasn't much info on the new areas, so I rolled up my sleeves and started creating pages for the wiki.
