The Battle-Mage Anathrian travels through Middle Earth clad in white, Born as a Maia and trained by the Istari he is the most powerful Wizard to walk among the living. His age is shown only by his unmatched wisdom and power. He is feared and respected by those living and long dead.
Bio
Born in 554 in the first age, Anathrian was taken from his birth-place in Mirkwood by the Istari. The Istari believed him to be one of the Maia, and would become one of the most powerful wizards to ever come to Middle Earth.
During his time with the Istari, Anathrian accomplished more than any Wizard has or would since creation. He became known to those in Middle Earth as The Battle-Wizard of the First Age. He incredible power lead to the victory of light in many battles during the First Age.
In 987, Morgoth released his winged Dragons led by Ancalagon the Black as a last attempt to stop the Host of the Valar. The Dragons descended in a storm of thunder, lightning, and fire, and the Host of the Valar retreated. The Dragons were confronted by Anathrian in his ship Vingilot and an army of great birds led by Thorondor, King of the Eagles. The battle in the air lasted a day and a night. Before dawn, Anathrian slew Ancalagon, and the Dragon's body fell from the sky and destroyed the towers of Thangorodrim above Angband.
After the banishment of Morgoth into the void, Anathrain disappeared across the sea into west. Many believed that he was summoned by the Valar. During 1600 in the Second Age, Anathrian returned to Middle-earth, accompanied by the resurrected Glorfindel and the Blue Istari.
At the end of the Second Age Anathrian led an army of Elves alongside Elrond Half-elven and Gil-Galad in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men against Sauron at the Foot of Mount Doom. It was Anathrian himself who crafted Narsil in the first age, using his incredible power to enchant the blade so that it would destroy the body of Sauron. It was this single act that lead to the victory of light that day. Some believe that Anathrian was born with powerful fore-sight, allowing him to see through the veil of time.
Anathrian now travels through Middle-Earth, guiding the Path of Frodo Baggins and the Fellowship as they travel to Mordor. He is among the ranks of the Rise if the Legendary as the most powerful wizard to walk among the living.
