some remarks about adding information to this page and copying data to elsewhere

This page is mainly about calculations and a lot of useful data. If you want to add some particular knowledge about mitigation for instance, then please change the page for Mitigation instead.

Secondly, I've seen numbers re-appearing elsewhere in wiki, which are the same as provided on this page. I don't think it's very wise to do because it makes it difficult to manage when these numbers change in future updates. The only places where I update information is on this page and Stat Caps. I would suggest to refer to Stat Caps as much as possible. --Gisel Avaleazar (talk) 12:44, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Graphs

The numbers for Critical Defense and Avoidances have a Pcap listed. However, the graphs for these don't reflect this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mumra17 (Contribs • User Talk) at 12 Sep 2017.

Avoidances: because Pcap for partial avoidance mitigation is so high that in practice it's impossible to reach. It would only ruin details of the other two graphs if it was included.
Critical Defense: kind of the same reason with the difference that this curve is not hard capped and will continue to rise endlessly. The graph shows the curve for sensible rating numbers.

Question on Caps

For those PCaps on attributes such as Critical Chance, are those hard-locked from all sources, both base attributes and skills? For example, if I had enough base stats to get to the max 25% Crit Chance could the Hunter/Bowmaster trait Critical Eye push that to 30% past it? --Kiljaedenas (talk) 12:00, 30 May 2022 (PST)

Traits, traceries etc. bypass the percentage cap of all stats (Critical Rating, Outgoing Healing, Mitigations ...). You can check it when you reach the cap and have such a bonus: hover over 'Critical rating' in your character panel and you will see a percentage higher than 25% mentioned. —RoyalKnight5 (talk) 19:09, 30 May 2022 (UTC)

Eeeeexcellent! Thanks for confirming! --Kiljaedenas (talk) 14:51, 30 May 2022 (PST)

Slight correction, the cap is on how much % you can get from rating. In other words, any source of % buffs goes on top if it, so you can get more than these listed caps. --Drono (talk) 06:38, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
