The answer is simple, but not obvious.

The WIKI code: {| class="wikitable" width="%90%" is NOT an absolute, but rather strictly relative, the display will change with browser settings, i.e. width of a browser window on your screen.

• However, the leading % is confusing the parser.

I got rid of the leading % and your tables are now the same width.

If you want absolute table widths you need to specify something like: <nowiki> {|class="sortable" width="700px"</nowiki>
