Bestowal dialogue

'<name>, I know my father has great concern for the safety of his people, but I know not if any could survive an Orc assault with simple farming tools.

'When you reach the southern croft, please search for any survivors. If the Orcs are already upon them, I truthfully hold little hope. Yet, with your aid, perhaps they can be saved...

'Hurry to the south, and rescue any crofters you find!'

Background

Gísling hopes that the Orcs have not yet slain his people to the south, but fears that it may already be too late. He wishes for you to try and rescue any crofters that have escaped the Orc invasion.

Objective 1

  • Search for survivors at the Raided Crofts

The Raided Crofts can be found far to the south-west of Garsfeld.

You have found slain crofters... aid has come too late, but perhaps others can be rescued

Objective 2

  • Search for survivors at the Raided Crofts

The Raided Crofts can be found far to the south-west of Garsfeld.

These crofters also met a grisly end, but in the distance you can see a man slumped against a pole of a house

Objective 3

You have spotted a captured crofter amongst the Orcs that have sacked this croft. It is curious that he has been left alive thus far, but it is probable that will change once the Orcs finish stripping resources from the area.

Sigeric: 'Untie me! Please!
'They killed everyone - I... I have to get out of here.
'To Garsfeld, you say? Yes... yes, I will go right away... I cannot be here any longer. The families... all of them... gone.'
As you loosen Sigeric's bonds, he begins to run towards Garsfeld

Objective 4

  • Talk to Gísil

Gísil can be found inside the mead-hall of Garsfeld.

Gísil: 'One survived after all? My heart is still heavy with guilt, but at least one life was saved.
'I do not recognize this man, though. Perhaps he has come from the Westfold... no matter, he must join the caravan south.'
