Walkthrough & Notes

This quest only becomes available if you have trained in the art of fishing. Hobby Master Brago Puddifoot is close-by. So learn the skill first if needed. The quest starts in the Shire but you actually fish elsewhere during this quest, each location has its unique barter-fish and rare fish. You can catch amberjacks from the running river within the Hall of Merchants inside Thorin's Hall. You can catch luillim from the docks in Celondim. You can catch drum from the pond in Chetwood. Bestowal dialogue 'This is just terrible! The Lithe Festival has started, but we don't have enough fish in the pond for the derbies! 'Wait...if each person I let fish for the festival brings some fish, then this will all work! This will not be the last event they put me in charge of! And you -- yes, you! -- you're going to help make sure of that. 'Run off to the far lands of the Elves, Men, and dwarves and bring me back some fish!' Background The Lithe Festival has started, but without enough fish in the pond, it will surely be a disaster. Objective 1 Find the best place to catch amberjack The fish that best represent the dwarves can be found inside of Thorin's Hall. You should go to Thorin's Hall and collect fish for the Lithe Festival. Neddie Grubb: 'I need fish, and lots of them, from all over, if this festival is to be a success! You must hurry!' Láfi: 'The amberjack that have been biting of late have provided us with ample fine meals this summer!' This looks like an excellent fishing spot Objective 2 Collect amberjack from Thorin's Hall (0/3) The fish that best represent the dwarves can be found inside of Thorin's Hall. You should go to Thorin's Hall and collect fish for the Lithe Festival. Objective 3 Find the best place in Celondim to catch luillim The fish that best represent those loved by the Elves can be found by fishing along the docks of Celondim, in Ered Luin. You should gather fish from Celondim to help supply the Lithe Festival in the Shire. Gaellien: 'The luillim, one of our favourite fish, are very plentiful this year. Many of my folk like nothing better than to sit by the docks and wait for the fish to take the bait.' You should gather fish from Celondim to help supply the Lithe Festival in the Shire. Objective 5 Look for the best place to catch drum The fish that best represent those loved by Men can be found by fishing at the Pond, near Pierson's farm to the south of Bree-town. You should gather fish from Bree to help supply the Lithe Festival in the Shire. Will Hindmarsh: 'The drum are biting this year, <name>, but they are only available in the summer. Catch them while you can!'
