Walkthrough & Notes

Since there are several camps that banners can be placed at, only general info can be provided:

Fight your way into a contested camp, clearing it of opponents.
Right click on the banner stones to place a banner.
Immediately afterward, two orcs will appear and attack your character.
On defeating all opponents (see below), the quest will update.

Please note that this quest will fail on any of the following conditions:

Defeat: If the character is defeated in combat by any opponent while the camp is being contested. This includes any creature, from anywhere nearby (inside or outside of the camp), that fights with the character.
Abandonment: If the character moves too far away from the banner it is assumed to have been abandoned. This can occur accidentally while trying to position yourself strategically for combat, so be careful.
Logout: Make sure to turn the quest in to Rodelleth before you leave the game.

Background

There are many positions throughout Gathbúrz that remain contested by both sides of the conflict in Southern Mirkwood.

Objective 1

Place a Malledhrim war-banner in a contested camp

Contested camps can be found in Gathbúrz.

Rodelleth has asked you to place a Malledhrim war-banner at a contested camp.

Objective 2

Place and defend the Malledhrim war-banner

Defend the Malledhrim war-banner at the contested camp in Gathburz.

Objective 3

Talk to Rodelleth at Thangúlhad

Rodelleth is at Thangúlhad in Gathbúrz.

You should return to Rodelleth with news of your success.

Handelen: 'Well done, <name>...speak with Rodelleth, and she will reward you.'

Rodelleth: 'Proudly done, <name>! We long ago taught the servants of the Enemy to fear the sign of the Malledhrim upon the field of battle, but I find they need an occasional reminder of this.'
