Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue On the slope stands an evil-looking relic. As you examine the relic, you are suddenly held in the grasp of complicated sensations: feeling of sickness, anger, and fear rush through you, and just as it seems it must be too much, they pass. You are left feeling weak and weary, and the relic keeps its secrets to itself. Background A strange relic has appeared in Thrór's Coomb, and the creatures of the area hesitate to stray to near it. Objective 1 Talk to Brungos The Ranger Brungos has discovered an unsettling relic in Thrór's Coomb. Brungos: 'I do not like this, <name>. It is clearly a relic of evil, but what its purpose may be, I cannot fathom. Does its presence here signal some new danger to the Grey Company?' Brungos Comments What do you think it is? 'I think it is trouble. There are many ancient relics to be found throughout these lands, but this one fills me with foreboding. And not just me! See how the gwiber shun this place!' I wonder why? The creatures avoid it? 'They try not to stray too near this relic. Whatever it is, even the gwiber can sense its power and it makes them reluctant to come too near, even when they engage in battle. Yet it seems clear to me it is not an artifact of good.' That is clear. What does Halbarad think? 'He has taken the wisest course, which is for the Grey Company to steer clear of it. It is a force of evil, that much is clear, and we will not tempt fate by straying too near it. I think that is wise.' Most wise.
