Bestowal dialogue

'Well look at you. I do not often see your folk here, and when I do, I always find it a bit queer. Well, hobbits less so because of the hill.'

'Oh, I am sorry, you wish to know more of prospecting? <Supplier>, the supplier here, has offered to teach all who wish to know the finer points of prospecting.'

Background

Prospectors mine ore-nodes to discover the raw materials hidden within. They are also adept at working the ore into ingots. Ore-nodes not only provide ore, but will often contain gems or other objects that are used by other professions. This collection profession is much-needed in Middle-earth.

Be careful! You will need to complete the correct recipes and deliver the correct items outlined in this quest.

You will need to execute the smelt copper recipe and deliver copper ingot. Failing to do so will force you to obtain new raw materials or to restart the quest after a 24-hour delay.

Objective 1

  • Speak with <Supplier> in the crafting area.

You should speak with <Supplier> at the Crafting <location> to learn more about prospecting.

<Master of Apprentices>: 'You should speak with the supplier at once.'
<Supplier>: pending
You have been provided with ingredients

Objective 2

Ingredients for Prospectors are found in ore-nodes in the wild, sometimes in chests and purchased from suppliers. You can also find ingredients on the Auction Hall.

<Supplier> provided you with a crate full of ingredients that you can use to execute the prospector recipes. Open the crate to get the ingredients.

<Supplier>: 'Grab your prospector's pickaxe and make sure you have it equipped, then open the crate of ingredients that I gave you and make your way to the forge.'
You now have all the ingredients to make a copper ingot

Objective 3

  • Using the ingredients you received craft a Copper Ingot (0/1)

<Supplier> provided you with the ingredients necessary to create a copper ingot and a tin ingot.

You have made a copper ingot

Objective 4

  • Bring the copper ingot to <Supplier>

The recipe is complete. Do not sell the copper ingot! It is time to show your handiwork to your mentor, <Supplier>.

<Supplier>: 'Let me see what you have done.'
He examines the items closely.
'Both the copper and tin ingots appear to have been refined without a hint of impurity.'
'I think this is a very good effort and proves that you are prepared to continue your work towards becoming a master prospector.'
You have completed the Prospector Tutorial
