Bestowal dialogue
"Wynmar and his men brace for an Orc attack that threatens to be more dire than the earlier encounter on the hill, a mere taste of what is to come...."
Background
The Orcs have begun their attack on the Rohirrim's vulnerable encampment in Thinglad.
Objective 1
Wynmar, Rothulf, and the other Rohirrim hunters now brace themselves against an onslaught.
- Rothulf: 'They are coming any moment, <name>. I can sense it...we must wake Wynmar from this foolish stupor, or he will surely die in this battle!'
Objective 2
- Help Rothulf rouse Wynmar from his woe
Rothulf and Wynmar are at their camp in Thinglad.
- Rothulf says, "Wynmar."
- Rothulf says, "Wynmar!"
- Wynmar says, "Hm? What is it, Rothulf?"
- Rothulf says, "For the last time, you great oaf: Orcs are coming for us!"
- Rothulf says, "You must forget the Elf-girl; stand and fight!"
Objective 3
- See if Wynmar is ready to fight
Rothulf and Wynmar are at their camp in Thinglad.
- Wynmar: 'I suppose it is time to let her go. I must. But...this all just seems so wrong now.
- 'Why did this happen, <name>? Have you ever felt this backwards sense that your life was fine until you met someone you could not have, then nothing would ever be as it should again?'
- Wynmar says, "Yes...I suppose I must, Rothulf."
- Wynmar says, "I fear that I will meet my death, by Orc or by this hole in my heart."
- Wynmar says, "Bah! I will shake off such sobering thoughts for now."
- Wynmar says, "<name> will help us get through this night, eh, Rothulf?"
- Wynmar says, "What was that sound?"
Objective 4
- Defeat the attacking Orcs
Orcs are attacking! You must defeat them.
Objective 5
Rothulf is at the camp.
- Rothulf: 'Do you think that was all of them, <name>? I am weary, but I could stand another attack.
- 'I wonder who leads this rabble.
- 'I think I am right. What of Wynmar? He looks tired to my eyes.'
Objective 6
Wynmar is at his camp.
- Noriel says, "Wynmar, look out!"
- Hîs-urdan Savage says, "The Orcs shall be avenged for this slaughter!"
- Noriel says, "Die!!"
- Noriel has slain the attacker, but Wynmar lies wounded
Objective 7
- See if Wynmar and Noriel need your help
Noriel and Wynmar are speaking quietly between themselves.
- Wynmar says, "Noriel...! You came to help us."
- Noriel says, "You fool! Do not stir -- you are poisoned!"
- Wynmar says, "And yet I am happy. Is it not strange?"
- Noriel says, "This is all my fault."
Objective 8
- Ask Noriel if Wynmar will live
Noriel is tending to Wynmar's wounds.
- Noriel: 'He is poisoned, <name>! I was coming to make amends for my coldness from our earlier meeting...if only I had been one moment sooner!
- 'There is nothing I can do. It will not be long now. Poor Wynmar!'
- Noriel: 'Let us say our goodbyes, dear friend....'
