Walkthrough & Notes

You may need to stop fishing by moving around to cause the fish you catch to switch when the objectives advance. For example, when you complete objective 1, you will often continue to catch Easy Fish instead of Simple Fish. Walk to the quest giver and back to the pond seems to work. This is probably the most frustrating quest in-game, because this quest entirely depends on luck. Your fishing skill does not make any difference, neither the level of your fishing rod. It seems that equipping  Erebrandir's Horseshoe or  Erebrandir's Other Horseshoe doesn't increase you luck either. At last this quest is only available during the Festival, and has a 24h cooldown.

'You have an excellent opportunity to fish up all the lovely fish you want, and those fish will naturally earn you admiration in the Fisherman Faction, as well as the fine rewards that go with it. 'However, one bad fish can spoil it all. Just one fish, and it's all over for the day. Your luck is done. That fish may be elusive at first, but the more you fish, the more likely you are to pull up that ominous fish that nobody wants.... 'Best of luck to you! You'll need it.' NOTE: The outcome of this quest is based on luck, and is not affected by fishing skill. Background It's time to fish, and muster all the luck you've got.
