This quest can be started just east of Hrimbarg. Rending Fissure-worms drop the wanted scales and are found throughout Southern High Pass, east and south of Thorgest's dwelling.

Background

Thorkell has an important shipment of worm-scales that he has promised to the Elves of Rivendell as they prepare for the possibility of war with Angmar.

Collect Fissure-worm Scales (0/12)

The worm-caves are to the south-east of Thorgest's dwelling.

Fissure-worm scales look like they would make strong armour for the Elves of Rivendell.

Thorgest: 'I am afraid the shipment I promised the Elves was quite large. You will need a fair bushel of scales before I can fulfill it, but they are simple enough to harvest in the caves to the south-east.'
