Bestowal Dialogue

(Note: To activate this quest you have to click on a plaque in the floor, at the bottom of the stairs where Öndótt is standing.)

You have found a plaque bearing the strange runes of Falgeirr Twisttongue, author of the papers you found in Katûb-zahar. When translated, they read as follows:

I can sizzle like bacon; I am made with an egg,
I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg,
I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole,
I can be long, like a flag-pole, yet fit in small holes.
What am I?

Background

Falgeirr Twisttongue, a dwarf with a penchant for riddles, left messages throughout Moria for those with the key to solving his strange runes and twisting words. You have just such a key.

Objective 1

  • Solve Twisttongue's Riddle

You should try and solve Falgeirr Twisttongue's riddle:

I can sizzle like bacon; I am made with an egg,
I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg,
I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole,
I can be long, like a flag-pole, yet fit in small holes.
What am I?

The solution to the riddle can be found somewhere in the Silvertine Lodes.

You have solved the Riddle of the Serpent. There is another plaque on the east wall of this room
